Alfredo Lim is truly a policeman-politician who serves his own and family’s interest.
I myself is a victim of his masterpiece and expertise: liar and user.
I ask for an apology if i used these words describing Mr. Alfredo Lim. I use to call him “tatay” because it was how his children, specially Nestor, Grace, Cristy and Manny, often times tells me. Manuel or Manny used to come to my house for nth times, Nestor only twice while Cristy and Grace normally by phone calls only or at his father’s office.
Alfredo Lim promised us (we belong to urban poor sector) that he will help us with our trying situation here in the stretch of “Home Along the Riles”. He said he will help us fighting for our rights. Thus, we helped him pushing his candidacy in 2007. His opponents need to pull a vote from thousands of electorates from the urban poor sector in favor of Fred “tatay” Lim because of our effort. Please, he should not deny this. We gave him a leading margin.
After his victory, err, our victory, he did a run around against us. No help that he did to ease our predicament instead he requested the Philippine Commission on Urban Poor(PCUP)to conduct the demolition asking the PCUP to issue Certificate of Compliance (COC) (letter of PCUP Chair Percival Chavez addressed to LIM is on hand). COC is a certificate that gives authority for demolition. PCUP declined to issue COC instead passed the ball to LGU of Manila wherein Fred Lim is the Chairman. to hide from us, Lim allowed Ms. Vicky Clavel (an appointee of LIM) to be the signatory of the said COC. We were demolished and thrown somewhere away from Manila. Thousands of families were unjustly displaced and were treated as third class society. NO “tatay” came to caress us, to appease the grit. I again requested for his heart to just give us a little more time in fixing all the ruins in the demolition areas. He skillfully promised us light materials for building a tent in our chosen areas outside metro manila, together with some medicines for those children and elders of ours as well, who are already caught with coughs and colds with fever due to heat and cold exposure (it was then rainy season, between July and August, 2007) BUT ironically, not even a single nail or a piece of canvass where we can use to cover our bareness, not even a single tablet or a drop of medicine reach us (we thank our failures because it helps us to be strong in times like what we have suffered).
I knew fully well that Lim have gotten our votes already so he do not need us anymore.
Fred Lim is totally a double-dealer…a tactician, a subterfuge.
Now, he accused Ali Atienza of being an addict based on rumor implicating Danny Lacuna to be the source of his allegation. Funny yet unusual to his manly attitude. He should just ask humility for his son and my friend Manny Lim. It is a glaring truth and not just a hearsay.
I pray for his heart anyway.
